Buildly: AI Page Builder · Last updated September 29, 2026
Buildly: AI Page Builder (“Buildly”, “we”, “us”) is a Shopify app by Boost Apps that lets merchants design store pages with a visual editor and optional AI assistance, and publish them as regular Shopify pages. This policy explains what data we handle and how.
Store data we access
Buildly uses only these Shopify permissions:
write_online_store_pages: to create, update, publish, unpublish and delete the pages you build with Buildly (Online Store > Pages). Buildly only changes pages it created.read_products: to let you pick products and collections for product blocks and to show their current title, image, price and availability on your pages.read_themes: to check whether the Buildly section block has been added to your published theme. Buildly never edits theme files.write_files: to upload the images you add in the editor to your store’s Files.write_metaobject_definitionsandwrite_metaobjects: to store the reusable sections you save, so the Buildly section block can show them anywhere in your theme.
Buildly does not request access to orders, customers or any protected customer data.
Information we store
Your page designs, saved sections, brand style, AI usage counter and the app’s Shopify session are stored in your own store as Shopify metafields and metaobjects. Published pages are plain HTML in your store’s pages, so they keep working if you uninstall the app.
Our servers run on Cloudflare. Cloudflare Workers KV holds the store’s Shopify access token and session, your admin language choice and short-lived caches (your plan, store name and currency, a list of recent product titles) that expire within minutes.
Our internal admin service (Boost Apps admin, backed by a Supabase database) keeps a record for each store that installs the app: store domain, store name, store email, shop owner name, primary domain, country, currency, Shopify plan, subscription plan, install/uninstall dates and, while the app is installed, the Shopify access token. We use this record to support you and to send emails.
AI features
When you use an AI feature (generate a page, generate a section, rewrite or translate a text), we send the request to OpenRouter, which routes it to an AI model provider. The request contains only what the task needs: your brief or the text to rewrite, your store name, currency and description, and up to 8 product titles and handles. No customer data, order data or personal data about shoppers is ever sent. We do not use your content to train models.
Storefront behaviour
Published pages are served by Shopify as part of your online store. When a page uses interactive elements (countdowns, live prices, add to cart, videos, maps), a small script in the page talks only to your own store (for example to refresh a product’s price) and, when a shopper clicks to play a video or open a map, to that provider (YouTube, Vimeo or Google Maps). Buildly does not add tracking, cookies or analytics to your pages and collects nothing about shoppers. Newsletter and contact forms submit directly to Shopify.
Billing
Buildly is free to start. The paid plans (Starter $24, Growth $49 and Scale $149, every 30 days) are billed by Shopify through your Shopify invoice, only after you choose to upgrade. We never see or store payment details.
Emails
We send a welcome email when you install the app and a goodbye email when you uninstall it, and occasional product update emails to the store email. Emails are delivered through Resend. Every promotional email contains an unsubscribe link.
Service providers
We do not sell or rent your data. We use these service providers to run the app:
- Cloudflare: app hosting, storage of access tokens/sessions and short-lived caches.
- OpenRouter: AI subprocessor for the AI features described above.
- Supabase: database for the store records described above.
- Resend: delivery of the emails described above.
- Tidio: live chat loaded only inside the app’s admin (never on your storefront) so you can reach our support team. So we can help without asking for details first, the chat receives your store’s name, myshopify address, website, contact email, Shopify plan and country, the name, email and role of the staff member using the app, and which app page they are on. It never receives any data about your customers. Messages you send and basic technical data (such as your IP address) are processed by Tidio under their privacy policy.
Data retention and deletion
When you uninstall Buildly, we delete the cached access token and session within minutes. App metafields and saved sections are removed by Shopify with the app; the pages you published stay in your store until you delete them. Shopify’s shop/redact request, sent 48 hours after an uninstall, removes anything left. Because Buildly never stores customer data, customers/data_request and customers/redact requests have nothing to return or erase.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the data described above at any time by emailing boostappspro@gmail.com.
